Taylor Legacy 714ce - Western Red Cedar, Indian Rosewood
Taylor Legacy 714ce - Western Red Cedar, Indian Rosewood
Step into something timeless yet contemporary with the Taylor Legacy 714ce. At its heart you’ll find a solid Western Red Cedar top—a tonewood choice that responds exquisitely to light touch and fingerstyle work, offering warmth and richness without sacrificing definition. Paired with select Indian Rosewood back and sides, the result is a full‑spectrum voice: deep lows, sparkling highs, and lush sustain that feels both luxurious and alive.
Built on Taylor’s renowned Grand Auditorium body shape (with a Venetian cutaway for easy upper‑fret access), the Legacy 714ce strikes that rare balance of studio‑ready sound and stage‑capable presence. The neck is crafted from Neo‑Tropical Mahogany, set for strength and stability, with a fingerboard of fine Crelicam Ebony delivering smooth playability and vivid tone.
On the tech side you’re covered, too: it features the LR Baggs Element VTC electronics system—plug in, and the guitar carries that acoustic character into rehearsal, gig or recording with clarity. A high‑quality build, classic appointments (including gold tuning machines, green abalone inlays, and black binding with pinstripe detail) and the finish carry the instrument’s premium feel through every angle.
For players at Musicmaker looking for one guitar with broad capability—finger‑style nuance, strummed rhythm power, and serious plug‑in flexibility—the Legacy 714ce is a standout. It’s crafted to be heard, touched and felt, and it’s built to serve at every level of performance.
