Feadog Single Tin Whistle - Brass - Key of C
Feadóg Brass Whistles in the Key of "C"
Warm tone and classic Irish whistle character. The Feadóg Single Tin Whistle in Brass, Key of C offers a slightly mellower, rounder voice than its D counterpart, making it a lovely choice for players exploring different keys, ensemble playing or teaching environments. Built with the same straightforward design Feadóg are known for, it delivers reliable tuning, comfortable playability and unmistakable traditional character.
The brass body gives this whistle a warm, full-bodied tone with a softer edge, ideal for slower airs, song accompaniment and blended group settings. It responds smoothly across both octaves, allowing for expressive phrasing without feeling overly bright or piercing. The key of C is particularly useful for whistle players working with singers, pianists or mixed instrumental groups.
Feadóg whistles are widely respected for being beginner-friendly yet musically honest, and this model is no exception. It’s easy to get a sound from straight away, while still offering enough nuance for developing players to grow into. Lightweight and durable, it’s perfect for lessons, travel or keeping close at hand for spontaneous playing.
This is a whistle that often comes up in Musicmaker when players want to expand beyond D, add a contrasting tone to their collection, or explore repertoire that sits more comfortably in C — simple, traditional and genuinely useful.
