You can easily adjust settings including trigger sensitivity, in order to personalise your experience. Perfect for live performance and recording situations, the Roland SPD:ONE KICK Trigger Pad combines a simple interface with extensive control over your sounds.

The Roland SPD-1K KICK Trigger Pad offers a total of 22 built in sounds, including kick drums, stomp box, shakers, cowbells, and more. You can easily import your own custom sounds into one of the 12 internal sound banks, allowing you to truly customise your performance and audio. The SPD-1K is perfect for a wide range of musical styles and genres and includes a selection of great-sounding accompaniments and backing tracks which can be used for live performance work. Despite the great range of internal sounds, some players will prefer to use their own sounds and samples. The SPD-1K KICK Trigger Pad can be connected to a computer via USB, allowing you to import your own WAV audio files (up to five seconds long) by simply dragging and dropping the files from your device to the SPD-1K. Once imported, you can easily modify your sounds using the simple control interface on the trigger pad.

Whether you choose to play with sticks, hands, or even feet, the SPD-1K allows you to adjust settings accordingly to optimise your experience for each performance. With just four simple knobs on the front panel, you can cycle through sounds, customise each sound as you desire, and even adjust volume and balance levels on the fly.

Design & Connectivity

The compact yet robust design not only looks sleek but is built-to-last thanks to its high-grade components and durable construction. The compact design means you can easily incorporate it within your existing instrument setup, without having to create added space. The unit also includes a mounting adapter so you can clip it to other equipment such as hi-hats, cymbals and other hardware. The SPD: One Kick Pad is battery operated for optimal portability but it can also be used with an AC adapter (not included) for extended use. The SPD-1K integrates a range of features optimised for live performance, including clicks, backing tracks, and more. You can also route the backing track via the main and headphone outputs, whilst the click is routed to the headphones only for quick and easy stage monitoring.
