Evans dB One Drum Head For Tom - 14

Evans dB One Drum Head For Tom - 14

The Evans dB One Drum Head for Tom – 14" is a game-changer for drummers who want to keep the feel of a real kit while dramatically reducing volume. Whether you’re practising at home, teaching, or working in a low-volume setting, this head lets you play naturally without the usual noise levels.

Part of Evans’ dB One low-volume system, this head is engineered to cut volume by up to 80%, while still maintaining a realistic stick response and rebound. That’s the key — it doesn’t feel like a practice pad, it feels like an actual drum. The design uses a single-ply mesh construction with a specially developed impact layer, giving you a more defined tone and controlled response compared to traditional mesh heads. You still get a sense of pitch and articulation, just at a much more manageable volume.

At 14", it’s ideal for floor toms or larger rack toms, offering a balanced, controlled feel that works perfectly for practice setups or hybrid kits. It’s also incredibly durable, built to handle regular playing without wearing out quickly — so you can practise as much as you like without worrying about longevity.

This is the kind of head that makes quiet practice feel properly musical — not just something you have to put up with.
