Evans EC2 Coated Drum Head - 18"

Evans EC2 Coated Drum Head - 18"

Deep punch, controlled sustain and massive low-end focus

The Evans EC2 Coated 18" Drum Head is purpose-built for floor toms, delivering the kind of deep, controlled tone that keeps your low end powerful without getting boomy or messy. Designed with Evans’ signature damping technology, it’s a favourite among drummers who want punch, clarity and consistency from larger toms.

Constructed from two plies of 7mil film, the EC2 features Sound Shaping Technology (SST™) control rings mounted on the underside of the head. These rings reduce unwanted overtones while allowing the fundamental note of the drum to speak clearly. The result is a focused, authoritative floor tom sound that records beautifully and cuts through live mixes with ease.

The coated finish adds warmth, body and a slightly softer attack compared to clear heads, making it ideal for rock, pop, fusion, gospel and heavier styles where control and depth matter. Easy to tune and extremely forgiving, the EC2 Coated takes the guesswork out of dialing in a big, confident 18" tom sound — exactly why it’s such a popular choice here at Musicmaker.
