Evans EMAD Coated White Bass Drum Head - 22"

Evans EMAD Coated White Bass Drum Head 22"

The Evans EMAD Coated White Bass Drum Head – 22" is a proper go-to for drummers chasing that big, punchy kick sound with total control. It’s the kind of head that makes your bass drum feel instantly more dialled in — powerful, focused, and ready for anything.

At the core of it is Evans’ brilliant EMAD (Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping) system. Instead of stuffing your kick or endlessly tweaking internal muffling, you can simply swap between the included damping rings to shape your tone. Want a tight, punchy thud? Sorted. Prefer something a bit more open and resonant? Easy. It’s fast, practical, and makes a real difference. The coated white finish adds a slightly warmer, rounder character compared to clear heads. You still get plenty of attack, but with a smoother edge and fuller low-end response, making it ideal for players who want their kick to sit nicely in the mix without sounding overly clicky.

The single-ply construction keeps things responsive and lively, while the EMAD system keeps everything under control — a great balance between feel and focus. At 22", it’s a classic size that delivers that deep, full-bodied low end most players are after, whether you’re playing rock, pop, indie, or anything in between.

This is one of those heads that just makes life easier — less fuss, better sound, and a kick drum that does exactly what you want it to.
