Evans EQ4 Clear Bass Drum Head - 20"
Evans EQ4 Clear Bass Drum Head - 20"
Punch Meets Precision. Focused Power with Every Hit.
The Evans EQ4 Clear 20" Bass Drum Head delivers a tight, articulate low end that stays bold and musical without overbearing boom. Built for drummers who need their kick to cut through the mix while keeping resonance in check, this single-ply powerhouse brings modern control and vintage character together in perfect balance.
Featuring a single ply of 10mil clear film, the EQ4 is responsive and resonant with just the right amount of durability. What sets it apart is the integrated internal overtone control ring, which eliminates unwanted ring and focuses the attack—giving you a tight, thumping tone that engineers love and bandmates respect.
Whether you’re behind a jazz kit, laying down pop grooves, or playing punchy funk, this head gives you clear articulation, controlled sustain, and consistent response. The 20" size makes it ideal for smaller kick drums or tighter musical environments, where clarity and balance are key.
At Musicmaker, we often recommend the EQ4 Clear for players who want classic warmth, modern control, and mic-friendly tone—without having to stuff their drum full of foam.
