Evans G12 Coated White Drum Head - 12"
Evans G12 Coated White Drum Head - 12"
The Evans G12 Coated White Drum Head – 12" is a fantastic option for drummers who want the openness and responsiveness of a single-ply head, but with added durability and a slightly fuller, punchier tone. Designed to sit comfortably between traditional thin single-ply heads and heavier multi-ply options, the G12 has become a favourite for players who need versatility without sacrificing strength or musicality.
Made from a single ply of 12mil film, the G12 delivers a deeper and more focused sound than standard thinner heads, giving your 12" tom or snare a satisfying combination of attack, warmth, and controlled sustain. It retains enough sensitivity for dynamic playing while offering the extra durability needed for harder hitters and regular gigging.
The coated white finish adds warmth and smoothness to the overall response, helping notes feel rounder and slightly more controlled while also improving stick articulation. Whether you’re playing rock, indie, blues, pop, punk, or alternative styles, the G12 responds with excellent projection and tonal balance across a wide tuning range.
One of the standout strengths of the G12 series is how naturally it controls excessive ring without sounding overly dampened. You still get lively resonance and musical sustain, just with a tighter and more focused overall voice that sits beautifully in live and studio mixes.
At Musicmaker, the Evans G12 is a brilliant recommendation for drummers looking for a reliable all-round batter head that combines punch, warmth, and durability in equal measure.
