Evans Resonant Black Drum Head - 12"

Evans Resonant Black Drum Head - 12"

Clean looks, controlled sustain and a focused resonant response

The Evans 12" Resonant Black Drum Head is a smart choice for drummers who want a controlled, professional sound paired with a sleek, modern look. Designed specifically for use as a resonant (bottom) head, it helps shape your drum’s sustain, tone and response without getting in the way of the batter head’s character.

Made from a single ply of durable film, this resonant head delivers a clear, focused response that works beautifully across a wide range of tuning styles. It tightens up the decay, enhances articulation and keeps the drum sounding balanced and musical — whether you’re setting up for live performance, studio recording or everyday practice.

The black finish adds a sharp, understated aesthetic to your kit, especially popular with players who like a darker, more modern visual vibe. Reliable, consistent and easy to tune, it’s a dependable upgrade or replacement that does exactly what a resonant head should do — quietly make everything sound better. A staple choice we’re always happy to recommend here at Musicmaker.
