Evans UV2 Coated Drumhead - 16"
Evans UV2 Coated Drumhead - 16"
The Evans UV2 Coated Drumhead – 16" is built for drummers who want serious durability without sacrificing tone. It’s tough, controlled, and still musical — a rare combination that makes it a standout for heavier players.
At its core is a two-ply construction, delivering a full, punchy sound with plenty of attack and low-end presence. But what really sets it apart is Evans’ UV-cured coating. This isn’t your standard coating — it’s specially treated to be far more resistant to chipping, flaking, and wear, even under heavy use. The result? You get that warm, coated tone and smooth stick feel, but it lasts significantly longer. No quick wear patches, no dead spots — just consistent performance session after session.
Tonally, the UV2 sits in a great place. It offers a controlled sustain with a focused attack, helping to keep overtones in check while still letting the drum breathe. At 16", it’s perfect for floor toms, delivering a deep, punchy thump with clarity and control. It’s ideal for rock, metal, and high-energy playing, but just as useful for anyone who wants a durable head that doesn’t compromise on sound.
This is a head that works hard — and keeps working long after others start to give up.
