Fender Squier Classic Vibe '60s Mustang Bass, Laurel Fingerboard, Olympic White
Fender Squier Classic Vibe '60s Mustang Bass, Olympic White
The Fender Squier Classic Vibe ’60s Mustang Bass is a compact, characterful bass that delivers big tone in a comfortable, short-scale format. Finished in timeless Olympic White, it captures the look and feel of one of Fender’s most iconic bass designs while offering modern reliability and excellent value.
Built around a 30" short scale length, the Mustang Bass feels instantly approachable and fast under the fingers. The reduced string tension makes it easy to play, encouraging smooth slides, expressive vibrato and long, fatigue-free sessions. It’s a brilliant option for players with smaller hands, guitarists moving to bass, or anyone who simply prefers a more compact, responsive instrument.
The single Fender-designed alnico split-coil pickup delivers a warm, punchy low end with plenty of midrange character. Notes sit beautifully in a mix, offering that classic Mustang thump that works just as well for indie, pop and rock as it does for soul, funk and vintage-flavoured grooves. Simple controls keep everything intuitive, letting you focus on feel and timing rather than tweaking knobs.
The laurel fingerboard adds a smooth playing surface with a balanced tonal response, pairing nicely with the comfortable neck profile. Vintage-inspired details — from the period-correct hardware to the clean, understated aesthetics — give the bass an authentic ’60s vibe without sacrificing everyday playability.
This Mustang Bass is a regular recommendation at Musicmaker for players who want something a little different from a full-scale bass — compact, stylish and full of personality, with that unmistakable Fender sound.
