Mooer Black Secret Distortion Micro Compact Pedal
Mooer Black Secret Distortion Micro Compact Pedal
Two Vintage Distortions. One Tiny Terror. Full-Sized Mayhem in a Micro Box. Don’t let the size fool you. The Mooer Black Secret is a micro-sized distortion monster that packs two classic high-gain circuits into a pedal that barely takes up more space than a large plectrum. Whether you're chasing the raw rasp of early thrash or that scooped, saturated ‘80s shred tone, this little black box has you covered.
Built to emulate the iconic tones of the original ProCo RAT, the Black Secret brings gritty, dynamic distortion and intense harmonic richness into the modern age—with the added bonus of two distinct modes: Vintage and Turbo. Vintage mode captures that gritty, biting tone that defined punk, rock, and alt scenes for decades, while Turbo mode cranks the output and fattens up the low end for full-throttle modern gain with monstrous punch.
Controls are simple but responsive—Distortion, Filter (Tone), and Volume—letting you dial in everything from warm, edge-of-breakup drive to chainsaw chug and razor-sharp solos. Whether you're stacking it with other pedals or running it straight into a clean amp, the Black Secret stays tight, loud, and gloriously aggressive.
All housed in a rugged metal micro chassis, this pedal is built for pedalboard real estate warriors and players who refuse to compromise on tone—even when space is tight.
Here at Musicmaker, we love the Black Secret for its killer tone-to-size ratio, aggressive voice, and uncanny ability to punch way above its weight class.
