Epiphone J-45 Express, Vintage Sunburst

Epiphone J-45 Express, Vintage Sunburst

The Epiphone J-45 Express in Vintage Sunburst is a compact, slope-shouldered acoustic that captures the spirit of the legendary J-45 in a streamlined, accessible package. Whether you're writing songs at home, gigging in tight spaces, or need a travel-ready companion with classic looks and warm tone, this guitar delivers big character in a scaled-down form.

With its select spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the J-45 Express offers a full, balanced tone with excellent projection and midrange warmth. The body shape gives you that trademark slope-shoulder comfort, while the shorter scale length and slim-taper mahogany neck make it ideal for smaller hands, beginners, or electric players crossing into acoustic territory.

The Vintage Sunburst finish completes the look with heritage vibes—aged tobacco hues fading into a deep brown edge, paired with a black pickguard and simple dot inlays. It’s an instrument that looks the part on any stage or in any writing session, and one that plays as good as it looks.

At Musicmaker, we’ve recommended the J-45 Express to countless players looking for a quality acoustic that’s compact, reliable, and easy to love. Whether it’s your first guitar or your fifteenth, it delivers that familiar Epiphone feel with a voice that punches well above its size.
