There’s a lot to be said for an acoustic guitar that gets the important stuff right without wandering into intimidating price territory. The Lâg Guitars Tramontane 70 Auditorium Cutaway Electro – Black & Brown (T70ACE-B&B) combines a solid Sitka Spruce top, comfortable Auditorium body and genuinely useful onboard electronics with one of the coolest finishes in the Tramontane 70 range.

That Black & Brown satin finish gives the guitar a wonderfully distinctive personality. Dark around the edges with warm brown tones showing through the centre, it feels contemporary without losing the organic character you want from an acoustic guitar. Black hardware and Lâg’s instantly recognisable headstock design finish things off beautifully.

More importantly, there’s a solid Sitka Spruce soundboard underneath the finish. That’s a serious feature at this end of the market, giving the T70ACE-B&B a lively, articulate voice with plenty of projection and the ability to become increasingly expressive as the top is played in. Khaya back and sides complement the spruce with warmth through the mids, creating an acoustic sound that works equally well for open-chord strumming, fingerpicking and singer-songwriter accompaniment.

The Auditorium body is a particularly good choice for players who want versatility. It feels more manageable than a large dreadnought while maintaining enough body and projection for confident acoustic playing. Add the cutaway and you've got much easier access to the upper frets, opening the door to lead lines, melodic work and chord voicings further up the neck.

Lâg keeps the playing dimensions comfortable and familiar, with an Okoumé neck, Brown BrankoWood fingerboard, 650mm scale length, 43mm nut width and 350mm fingerboard radius. Twenty medium silver-nickel frets and a double-action truss rod round out a specification that's approachable for newer guitarists without feeling remotely limiting as your playing develops.

Plugging in is straightforward thanks to the DirectLâg GT2 electronics. You get Volume and three-band EQ controls, allowing you to shape your amplified sound to suit the room or PA system, alongside a Phase control that can help when feedback starts causing trouble. There's also a built-in tuner, so one of the most useful tools you'll need at rehearsals and gigs is already sitting on the guitar.

The little details are nicely considered too. A Brown BrankoWood bridge and headstock facing, compensated black graphite saddle and precise 1:18 ratio die-cast machine heads give the T70ACE-B&B a specification that feels remarkably complete. It comes factory fitted with coated phosphor bronze Light .012–.052 strings, so it's ready to get straight down to business.

The Lâg T70ACE-B&B gives developing players a proper solid-top electro-acoustic they can grow into, while offering enough tone, comfort and stage-ready practicality to make experienced guitarists take notice too.
