LP 1207-T Jam Tamb

Sometimes you want tambourine in the groove, but you don't particularly want to hold a tambourine for the entire gig. The LP1207-T Jam Tamb solves that beautifully, turning the bright jingle of a tambourine into a compact, mountable percussion instrument that sits right alongside the rest of your kit.

At the heart of the Jam Tamb are six pairs of nickel-plated steel alloy jingles, chosen for a bright, powerful sound with plenty of projection. Give the striking surface a solid whack and you get an immediate burst of tambourine that can cut through drums, guitars and whatever else the band has decided to throw into the arrangement.

Rather cleverly, LP has given the Jam Tamb a rubber striking surface. This provides comfortable stick rebound and means drummers can treat it much more like another piece of the kit rather than awkwardly trying to strike the edge of a conventional tambourine. You can also play it by hand when the occasion calls for something a little less enthusiastic.

Mounting is straightforward too. The included LP Eye-Bolt mounting bracket allows the Jam Tamb to attach to any compatible 3/8" rod, so it can be positioned conveniently amongst cowbells, blocks and other auxiliary percussion. It's also compatible with the LP Gajate Bracket, opening up the possibility of playing it with your foot.

That makes the LP1207-T especially handy for drummers and percussionists who want to add tambourine accents without occupying another hand. Pop it into the setup, find a comfortable position and you've suddenly got another colour available whenever the groove needs a little extra chik.
