LP 1208-K Stealth Jam Block with Mount

Wood blocks sound brilliant. Wood blocks can also be slightly less enthusiastic about spending their lives being absolutely battered with drumsticks. The LP1208-K Stealth Jam Block with Mount takes that classic percussion-block idea and builds it from LP's extraordinarily tough synthetic material instead – giving drummers a rich, cutting block sound without treating the instrument like a precious antique.

The Stealth Jam Block produces a medium-pitched voice, making it a cracking all-rounder for grooves, accents and rhythmic patterns. There's enough attack to punch through a busy drum kit or band mix, while the block retains a fuller, wood-block-inspired character rather than sounding thin or overly plasticky.

The secret sauce is Jenigor, LP's proprietary plastic formulation. It's the material behind the legendary durability of LP's Jam Blocks and is designed to withstand some seriously enthusiastic playing. In fact, LP describes the construction as virtually indestructible – useful when your percussion technique occasionally resembles somebody trying to knock down a shed.

And the Stealth part isn't just marketing fluff. This version comes in a sleek black finish with a contrasting red foil LP logo, alongside matching black mounting hardware. It looks particularly tidy integrated into a modern drum or percussion rig.

Better again, this package includes the hardware required to get it into your setup. You get a heavy-duty mounting bracket, LP eye-bolt assembly, percussion accessory mount and 3/8" rod, giving you plenty of flexibility when positioning the block somewhere your stick can actually find it in the middle of a song.

At Musicmaker, we're big fans of percussion accessories that add a genuinely useful new voice without requiring another square metre of stage. The LP Stealth Jam Block is compact, loud when you need it, ridiculously tough and ready to be hit repeatedly. Which, really, is everything you could ask from a block.
