Meinl MC-1 Multi Clamp
Meinl MC-1 Multi Clamp
There are moments in every drummer’s life when the kit starts to expand like a beautiful, uncontrollable experiment. One minute it’s just hi-hats and a snare, the next you’re mounting bells, blocks, tambourines and mysterious metal contraptions that rattle like a freight train at midnight. That’s when you need a piece of hardware you can trust. Enter the Meinl MC-1 Multi Clamp.
This little chunk of chrome-plated steel is the quiet enabler of percussion madness. It clamps onto your existing stand with the confidence of a pit bull and gives you a fresh mounting point for whatever strange rhythmic device you’ve decided to bolt onto the rig tonight.
Cowbells? No problem. Tambourines? Absolutely. Woodblocks, shakers, the odd experimental contraption you found in a back street percussion shop at 2am — the MC-1 holds it all together like the unsung hero of a beautifully overbuilt drum setup.
The design is simple, brutally effective, and built for the real world. Tighten it down and it stays put through the chaos of a live show. Adjust it during setup and it moves exactly where you want it. No drama. No slipping. Just cold, dependable hardware doing its job while the groove explodes around it.
At Musicmaker we see a lot of percussion rigs, and they all share one secret: the best setups are built on clever little pieces of hardware like this. The Meinl MC-1 Multi Clamp isn’t flashy, but it’s the kind of tool that quietly turns a standard drum kit into a full-blown rhythm laboratory.
