Meinl TBR06ABS-Y 6" Tamborim Yellow

Meinl TBR06ABS-Y 6" Tamborim Yellow

The Meinl TBR06ABS-Y 6" Tamborim – Yellow is a small drum with serious attitude — bright, cutting, and built to bring that unmistakable Brazilian pulse straight into your playing.

At 6 inches, it’s compact and lightweight, but don’t let the size fool you. This tamborim delivers a sharp, high-pitched tone that slices cleanly through any mix — perfect for samba, Latin percussion, and high-energy rhythmic patterns. Built with a durable ABS shell, it’s designed to handle energetic playing while keeping the tone consistent and focused. The synthetic head adds to that crisp, articulate attack, giving you a fast, responsive feel whether you’re playing with a stick or hand.

Traditionally played with a flexible beater for those rapid-fire rhythms, the tamborim really comes alive when you start working in syncopation and accents — it’s all about movement, groove, and precision. The bright yellow finish adds a bit of visual flair too — bold, vibrant, and right at home in any percussion setup, on stage or in a drum circle.

This is the kind of instrument that brings instant energy — tight, lively, and impossible to ignore once it gets going.
