ProMark Hickory 740 Wood Tip Dame Evelyn Glennie Drumstick
Precision, Nuance, and Musicality—Inspired by a Percussive Icon. Crafted in collaboration with Grammy-winning virtuoso Dame Evelyn Glennie, the ProMark 740 signature stick is designed to meet the demands of a world-class solo percussionist—balancing control, clarity, and comfort in every stroke. Whether you're working across orchestral percussion, solo repertoire, or intricate mallet work, this stick offers the kind of versatility and refinement that advanced players require.
Made from high-quality American hickory, the 740 features a slim profile and lightweight feel, allowing for quick articulation and expressive dynamics. The wooden tip is slightly rounded, producing warm yet articulate contact across a wide range of surfaces—snare, toms, keyboard percussion, and beyond.
Measuring slightly shorter and thinner than a standard 5A, the Dame Evelyn Glennie model is tailored for nuanced playing, with a forward balance that allows for maximum sensitivity and control at lower dynamic ranges, without sacrificing projection when needed. It’s a favourite among percussionists in classical, contemporary, and ensemble settings, where finesse is key.
At Musicmaker, we recommend the 740 not only to orchestral players and music students, but also to any drummer who appreciates a stick with elegance, agility, and a performer’s pedigree.
