Remo 12" Ambassador Hazy Snare Side
Remo 12" Ambassador Hazy Snare Side
The Remo 12" Ambassador Hazy Snare Side Drum Head is one of the most widely trusted resonant snare heads in the drumming world, chosen by countless players for its sensitivity, crisp response, and classic snare articulation. Designed specifically for the underside of the snare drum, this head plays a huge role in shaping the instrument’s overall snap, sensitivity, and dynamic character.
Constructed from a single ply of ultra-thin hazy film, the Ambassador Hazy Snare Side delivers fast response and excellent snare wire interaction, allowing every ghost note, brush stroke, rimshot, and accent to speak clearly and naturally. The thin design helps maximise resonance and sensitivity while still maintaining enough durability for regular rehearsal, studio, and live performance use.
The hazy surface is specifically engineered to work with snare wires, enhancing articulation and helping create that crisp, detailed snare response drummers rely on across virtually every musical style. Whether you’re playing rock, jazz, funk, blues, pop, orchestral percussion, or session work, this head offers a beautifully balanced blend of sensitivity and projection.
One of the reasons the Ambassador Hazy remains such a studio and stage staple is its versatility. It responds effortlessly across different tunings, from tight modern crack to warmer, deeper snare sounds with plenty of body and character.
At Musicmaker, this is one of those essential drum heads we constantly recommend because a great snare-side head can completely transform the feel and responsiveness of a snare drum—and the Ambassador Hazy continues to set the standard.
