Remo Emperor Colortone Red 12"

Remo 12" Emperor Colortone Drum Head, Red

The Remo 12" Emperor Colortone Drum Head – Red combines the legendary performance of Remo’s classic Emperor series with a bold translucent finish that looks absolutely stunning under stage lights. Designed for drummers who want both serious tone and standout visual impact, this head delivers the warm attack, controlled sustain, and durability the Emperor line is famous for—while adding a vibrant splash of colour to your kit.

Built using Remo’s trusted dual-ply construction, the Emperor Colortone offers a balanced, punchy response with excellent projection and impressive durability. The two plies provide extra control and strength compared to thinner single-ply heads, making this head especially well suited to heavier playing styles and drummers who want a fuller, more focused sound from their toms or snare.

The red translucent finish isn’t just for looks either—it maintains the tonal characteristics drummers expect from the Emperor range while giving your setup a unique stage-ready aesthetic. Under lighting rigs or in live performance environments, these heads can look absolutely massive, especially when paired across a full kit.

Tonally, the 12" Emperor Colortone produces a warm, punchy attack with controlled sustain and excellent midrange presence. It tunes easily across a wide range, delivering everything from tight, articulate response to deeper, more aggressive punch depending on your setup and playing style.

At Musicmaker, these are a brilliant option for drummers who want reliable professional performance while adding a bit of visual personality to their kit without compromising sound quality.
