Remo 13" Emperor Clear

Remo 13" Emperor Clear

If you want your tom to speak with a bit more attack, projection and authority, the Remo 13" Emperor Clear Drumhead is one of those tried-and-tested choices that just works. Tough, punchy and wonderfully versatile, it's a favourite for drummers who want a bigger sound without choking the life out of the drum.

The Emperor Clear is constructed from two plies of 7-mil clear film, giving you considerably more durability than a typical single-ply head while retaining plenty of resonance. That two-ply construction delivers a strong attack with a controlled, powerful response – particularly handy if you're a heavier hitter or your kit regularly sees rehearsals and gigs.

Tonally, there's plenty of punch and projection on tap, making it particularly at home with rock, hard rock, funk and R&B. Tune it up for a tighter, more articulate response or bring it down for that satisfying, weighty tom sound that makes fills feel enormous.

At Musicmaker, Emperor Clears are an easy recommendation for working drummers. They're dependable, versatile and tough enough to take a proper beating – because sometimes the correct technique is simply to hit the drum harder.
