Remo 22" Ambassador SMT Bass Drum Head Clear
Remo 22" Ambassador SMT Bass Drum Head Clear
The Remo 22" Ambassador SMT Clear Bass Drumhead is built for players who want their kick drum to cut through the noise without losing clarity or control. It’s bold, it’s bright, and it packs a punch, thanks to a clever bit of engineering known as Sub Muffl® Technology—a built-in dampening system that gives you studio-quality tone straight out of the box.
Crafted from a single ply of 10-mil clear film, this drumhead produces a focused, articulate sound with sharp attack and a deep, powerful low-end. The clear film brings out a slightly more aggressive character than its coated sibling, giving you that extra bit of bite that works beautifully for rock, funk, pop, and more.
The built-in muffling isn’t just glued in and forgotten—it’s a floating acoustic foam ring paired with an external dampening profile. That means your low-end stays big and punchy without the dreaded “flab,” and your attack stays tight and defined whether you’re on stage or in the studio.
At Musicmaker, we’ve been fitting kits with heads like these for decades, and we can say without hesitation that this one earns its keep. It’s road-tough, session-smart, and perfect for players who want to plug in, tune up, and get that perfect kick sound every single time.
