Roland KD-7 Kick Trigger Unit

Roland KD-7 Kick Trigger Unit

Sometimes the best electronic drum upgrade isn't adding another pad—it's making your kick drum feel more like the real thing. The Roland KD-7 Kick Trigger Unit lets you use a standard bass drum pedal with your electronic percussion setup, delivering responsive, dynamics-sensitive triggering while preserving the familiar feel that's so important to confident playing.

Designed for drummers who want a more natural playing experience, the KD-7 features a durable trigger surface that's struck by the included reverse beater, allowing you to use your own kick pedal without dramatically changing your technique. Whether you're practising at home, performing live, or triggering samples in the studio, it offers a reliable, expressive response that accurately captures everything from light feathered strokes to powerful accents.

One of the KD-7's standout features is its flexibility. Compatible with a wide range of Roland V-Drums and percussion sound modules, it's also an ideal partner for electronic percussion pads such as the Roland HPD series. A built-in Mix In connection even allows two KD-7 units to be linked together, making it easy to create a responsive double kick setup for more demanding playing styles.

Built with Roland's renowned reliability, the KD-7 is compact enough to fit comfortably into almost any electronic drum or hybrid percussion setup while standing up to the demands of regular rehearsals and live performance. Installation is quick and straightforward, so you'll spend less time setting up and more time playing.

At Musicmaker, we know that feel matters just as much as sound. The Roland KD-7 Kick Trigger Unit bridges the gap between acoustic technique and electronic performance, giving drummers a responsive, dependable kick trigger that feels immediately familiar every time they sit behind the kit.
