Boss Katana 25 Guitar Amp

Katana-25 Guitar Amplifier | BOSS | Musicmaker Dublin

Your Tone. Dialled. Your Rules. Big Katana energy, brilliantly compact dimensions. The BOSS Katana-25 Guitar Amplifier brings the legendary tone, feel and versatility of the Katana series into a portable combo designed for home practice, creative exploration and everyday playing. With six distinctive amp characters, a huge collection of BOSS effects and modern connectivity, this little tone machine is ready for everything from delicate clean picking to full-throttle rock riffs.

Don't let the compact cabinet fool you. Powered by BOSS's acclaimed Tube Logic technology, the Katana-25 delivers the rich harmonics, touch-sensitive response and natural dynamics you'd expect from a much larger valve amplifier. Its reactive analogue power section and custom speaker work together to produce warm lows, sparkling highs and plenty of punch. Whether you're digging into a blues solo or chugging through a heavy riff, this amp responds beautifully to your playing.

Six Amp Characters. Endless Possibilities.

From pristine cleans and warm, expressive crunch to soaring leads and gloriously saturated Brown tones, the Katana-25 has a sound for practically every musical mood. Its versatile amp voicings cover everything from country and funk to classic rock, blues and modern metal, with a dedicated acoustic-electric character for guitarists who like to switch things up.

And because this is BOSS, the effects department is anything but an afterthought. Explore a massive library of professional-quality effects, from lush chorus and spacious reverbs to delays, modulation and expressive drive sounds. Build your own signature tones without needing a pedalboard the size of a small kitchen table.

Big Sound. Bedroom-Friendly Volume.

Cranked guitar amps sound fantastic. The neighbours, however, may have other opinions. Thankfully, the Katana-25 features selectable Power Control, allowing you to enjoy responsive, driven amplifier tones at much more manageable volumes. It's an ideal practice amp for bedrooms, apartments and home studios where great sound matters but volume needs to stay sensible.

The carefully engineered open-back cabinet delivers a surprisingly full, lively sound from a refreshingly portable design. Small enough to fit comfortably into your practice space, but with enough sonic personality to keep you coming back for another riff.

Instant Inspiration, Zero Fuss.

Sometimes you want to spend an evening sculpting the perfect guitar sound. Other times, you just want to plug in and play. The Katana-25 handles both beautifully.

Its intuitive Tone Setting section provides a generous selection of ready-to-play sounds alongside space for saving your own creations. Straightforward onboard controls make everyday tone shaping easy, while the clear display keeps navigation simple. There's also a handy built-in tuner and tap tempo function, so the essentials are always within reach.

Bluetooth, BOSS Tone Studio and a World of Sounds.

The Katana-25 is much more than a traditional guitar combo. Integrated Bluetooth lets you stream music directly from your smartphone or tablet, making it easy to jam along with favourite tracks, practise tricky passages or lose yourself in a backing track.

Pair it with the BOSS Tone Studio app and things get even more interesting. Dive into detailed sound editing, organise your favourite presets and explore shared tones through BOSS Tone Exchange. The clever Session function lets you play along with YouTube videos and even programme automatic tone changes during playback. Learning a song with different clean, rhythm and lead sections? Your amp can follow along.

For recording, a USB-C audio interface provides a convenient connection to compatible computers and mobile devices. There's also a dedicated headphone output for those late-night sessions when inspiration strikes after everyone else has gone to bed.

Compact, Clever and Ready to Play.

Whether you're picking up your first electric guitar or you're an experienced player looking for a flexible home practice amplifier, the BOSS Katana-25 packs an impressive amount of creative firepower into a compact, easy-to-use package.

At Musicmaker Dublin, we're big fans of gear that makes you want to play more, and the Katana-25 fits that description perfectly. Excellent core tones, genuinely useful effects and intuitive controls make this a fantastic all-round guitar amplifier for practising, recording and discovering your own sound.
