NUVO Recorder+, Black, Baroque

NUVO Recorder+, Black, Baroque

The Nuvo Recorder+ features a black body with black keys and is perfect for young children learning their first instrument. The patented silicone key covers allow the tone holes to be fully closed, producing a clear tone. These silicone key covers, coupled with the larger tone holes help beginners produce a much warmer tone compared to learning on a traditional, wooden recorder. Unlike other recorders, the Nuvo Recorder+ is made from a mixture of plastic and silicone, which enables it to be regularly washed in warm soapy water.

Ideal For Beginners

When Nuvo was designing the Recorder+ they clearly had beginners in mind. The recorder is often associated with poor note production due to the open hole finger layout found on the majority of traditional recorders. The Nuvo Recorder+ helps to eliminate this with their patented silicon key covers which allows a proper seal to be made around the tone hole. This seal not only helps to produce a stronger tone, but it also promotes better tuning across the range of the recorder. These pads help younger children grasp the basics of recorder playing as their hand position can be a lot more relaxed compared to the position needed for a traditional open hole recorder. Unlike other beginner recorders, the Nuvo Recorder+ features large tone holes for a much warmer sound. On the reverse of the Recorder+ is an adjustable thumbrest which is ideal to help players of all ages support the instrument comfortably.

Perfect For Schools

The Nuvo Recorder+ has plenty of features that allow it to be taught in large groups in a school environment. Around the bell of the Recorder+ are three bright rings which match the secondary colour of the instrument. These removable rings can be used as a reward system to encourage players to reach certain milestones, or simply for colourful accessories. The Nuvo Recorder+ is fully chromatic from middle C (C42) to D66 and uses the same fingering pattern found on traditional recorders. The bottom C and D keys feature open hole covers so beginners don't have to worry about precise hand positions and can easily be removed once the students progress to a stage of needing more chromatic notes. Due to the Recorder+ being made of plastic and silicone, it can easily be washed in warm soapy water without incurring any damage. The Nuvo Recorder+ includes a moulded case and a fingering chart for easy transportation and fast progression.
