A bass drum creeping away from you mid-song is one of those problems that starts mildly irritating and ends with you chasing a kick drum across the stage with your right foot. The Gibraltar SC-BS5 Heavy Duty Bass Drum Spurs are built to put a stop to that nonsense, giving your kick drum a strong, stable pair of gull-wing style supports without adding unnecessary bulk.

The SC-BS5 uses Gibraltar's classic gull-wing design, providing a wide, supportive stance while keeping the hardware relatively lightweight and low-profile. They're a particularly handy choice for replacing tired or damaged bass drum spurs, restoring an older shell or working on a custom drum build.

Each spur measures approximately 12" / 30.5cm long with a 10.5mm diameter, giving you plenty of substantial hardware beneath the drum. The design incorporates rubber feet and metal spur tips, allowing you to adapt the grip depending on where you're setting up. Rubber is the sensible choice on hard or delicate surfaces, while the spikes can provide additional bite on suitable drum rugs and carpets.

Importantly, this complete SC-BS5 set includes Gibraltar STL4 mounting brackets, rather than giving you two lonely metal legs and leaving you to work out the rest. The brackets use a two-hole mounting pattern with approximately 2" / 51mm spacing, so it's worth checking your existing shell drilling carefully before ordering these as direct replacements.

They're sold as a pair, because installing one bass drum spur would be less of an upgrade and more of an interesting experiment in geometry.
