Promark Classic 5A Firegrain
Promark Classic 5A Fire Grain
The ProMark Classic 5A FireGrain drumsticks take one of the most popular stick designs in drumming history and give it an impressive durability upgrade. Built for players who love the balanced feel of a traditional 5A but are tired of chewing through sticks at an alarming rate, the FireGrain series offers increased longevity without sacrificing the natural response and feel that drummers expect from hickory.
Using a proprietary heat-tempering process, ProMark transforms the hickory at a molecular level, creating sticks that are significantly more durable than standard models while retaining their weight, balance, and playing characteristics. The result is a stick that feels familiar from the first stroke but stands up better to rimshots, heavy rehearsals, long gigs, and enthusiastic playing.
The Classic 5A profile remains the ultimate all-rounder. Balanced, versatile, and comfortable in the hands, it sits perfectly between speed and power, making it suitable for everything from rock and pop to funk, indie, jazz, worship, and studio work. Whether you're playing delicate ghost notes or laying into a chorus with conviction, the 5A offers a level of control that's made it a go-to choice for generations of drummers.
Finished with a natural wood tip, the FireGrain delivers warm, articulate cymbal tones and a responsive feel across the kit. Visually, the distinctive flame-treated appearance gives each pair its own character, with a rich, dark finish that looks every bit as tough as it performs.
At Musicmaker, the FireGrain series has become a favourite among drummers looking for sticks that last longer without changing the feel they've spent years getting comfortable with. Same great 5A feel. Less sweeping up broken stick fragments.
