Vater 55AA Wood Tip
Vater 55AA Wood Tip
For drummers who love the feel of a 5A but crave a little extra reach and punch, the Vater 55AA Wood Tip drumsticks deliver exactly that—without tipping the balance. Designed for players who want just a bit more, these sticks are a brilliant evolution of the ever-popular Los Angeles 5A, dialled up with a half-inch of additional length for added range, power, and presence.
Made from high-quality American hickory, the 55AA retains that satisfying rebound and responsive feel Vater is known for. At 16.5 inches long, it gives you extended reach across your kit, perfect for wide set-ups or when you just want that extra whip in your stroke. The diameter sits comfortably at 0.570 inches, keeping the familiar 5A-style grip intact—ideal for players who like balance, control, and comfort rolled into one.
Topped off with a classic acorn-shaped wood tip, these sticks offer warm, full-bodied drum tones and focused, articulate cymbal response. The medium taper strikes a sweet middle ground, giving you fast rebound without sacrificing control or weight behind the stroke.
If you're chasing a stick that feels like home but plays with a little more firepower, the Vater 55AA is right in the pocket. Musicmaker is proud to stock this refined workhorse for drummers who want just that little bit extra—without the bulk or compromise.
