Vater Wood Handle Whip
Vater Wood Handle Whip
Looking for that sweet spot between the snap of sticks and the softness of brushes? The Vater Wood Handle Whip is your go-to hybrid solution—blending the familiar grip and feel of a 5B stick with the controlled finesse of bundled polybristle rods. Whether you're keeping it quiet or adding texture to your grooves, this whip offers an expressive, flexible alternative that opens up new creative territory behind the kit.
The handle is made from solid wood, styled after Vater’s classic 5B profile for a comfortable, full-bodied grip that feels instantly familiar in the hand. It’s smooth, balanced, and road-ready, making it ideal for extended playing sessions or quickfire dynamic shifts.
At the other end, you'll find a bundle of durable polybristles—flexible enough to produce subtle swishes and airy textures, but sturdy enough to provide punchy articulation when you need to dig in. The result is a perfect blend of brush and rod-like response, ideal for low-volume settings, acoustic gigs, worship, or layered studio work where traditional sticks might be too much.
And thanks to the adjustable O-rings, you can customise the spread and tightness of the bristles to suit your style—tighten it up for more rebound and focus, or let them fan out for a softer, more expansive sound.
