ProMark Performer Series PST3 Medium/General Maple Timpani Mallet

ProMark Performer Series PST3 Medium/General Maple Timpani Mallet

The ProMark Performer Series PST3 Medium/General Maple Timpani Mallets are a proper all-rounder — the kind of mallet you can rely on whether you’re in a rehearsal room, a teaching space, or stepping into performance territory.

These sit right in that medium/general range, which makes them incredibly versatile. You’re getting a balanced response that works across a wide dynamic spectrum — articulate enough for clearer passages, but still full and rounded when you need a bit more weight behind the sound. It’s that “go-to pair” feel, especially if you don’t want to be swapping mallets constantly.

The maple handles keep things lightweight and responsive, which is exactly what you want for timpani work. They give you a bit more control and speed compared to heavier options, making rolls smoother and dynamic changes easier to manage.

Tonally, they produce a warm, focused attack with controlled articulation — not too hard, not too soft. They sit nicely in an ensemble without overpowering, which makes them ideal for general orchestral use, school settings, and players who need something dependable across different styles and pieces.

Like all ProMark gear, the build quality is solid and consistent, so you know what you’re getting every time you pick them up.
